Here are photos taken by my mother, Joyce Lyon Dahl, and photos from her collection. See also the photos taken by my father, Arthur L. Dahl, which include many of my mother and her close friends, such as her fellow Auxiliary Board Member Nancy Phillips (living in Phoenix), and Marion Holley Hofman, who was her roommate at Stanford.

Geyserville Bahá’í School 1969-71
Teaching trips 1973-79
In 1973, Joyce undertook to travel to the Falkland Islands (in the southern Atlantic off the coast of Argentina) to visit Knight of Bahá’u’lláh John Leonard and the other pioneers there. She was shy, and used to say that she chose the Falkland Islands because they had no TV there and she would not have to be interviewed. Subsequently, she visited islands in the Lesser Antilles (St. Martin, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Lucia and Barbados) as well as Surinam, Guyana and French Guiana on several trips in 1973-77. She was present at the first National Bahá’í Convention of Surinam and French Guiana in 1977.
