In 2001 we were still settling in to our new home in Antananarivo, Madagascar, where Greg had been assigned as the Senior Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund. Emi’s parents had accompanied us to the post to help care for our three small children. We celebrated Mina’s first birthday there.

In April we attended the wedding of Justin and Mitko (Emi’s cousin) in Baltimore, Maryland, and then visited Greg’s mother Joyce in California.

We then returned to Bulgaria. The video shows Mina choosing from among items on a table in the traditional ceremony which they say may predict what career a child will choose.

In June we were back in Madagascar until the end of the year.

In December we celebrated the twins’ birthday, Greg’s brother Arthur came to visit, the twins’ school had a party, we had a big Christmas party for our staff and their families, and we were together at home on New Year’s Eve at home.
