In February 2002, we were evacuated from Madagascar by the IMF for security reasons. We went to Emi’s home town of Blagoevgrad in Bulgaria.
In May, we travelled to Massachusetts for the college graduation of Greg’s son Ian from Tufts University, and then to California to visit Greg’s mother Joyce.
In June, Greg returned to Madagascar. In July the family followed.
In November, Greg visited his brother Arthur in Geneva. The rest of the year the whole family was in Madagascar.
