In early 2006 we were still living in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. On 1 January we enjoyed the traditional “kukery” costume festival in Krupnik, and a few days later we all went on a ski trip.

Here we are in Blagoevgrad in February. In March, Mina’s kindergarten put on a show.

A few days later Greg’s mother, Joyce Lyon Dahl, passed away in California, and his whole family gathered for the funeral.

Here are the twins at the Alphabet show at their school in April, and our kids with cousins on the central square in Blagoevgrad. Then the twins’ last day of class in first grade in May, and Mina in Blagoevgrad in June.

In early June we stopped in Paris on our way to Madagascar.

In June we visited our friends in Madagascar, the first time back since leaving in 2003.

Back in Bulgaria in August for the start of a new school year, with Mina starting first grade.
