In January, we went for a walk near Krupnik with the Pirin mountains as backdrop. Then in March, we celebrated the wedding of Emi’s niece Dimana to Blagoy, and then Mina’s birthday both in Sofia and Blagoevgrad.

In April and May, we enjoyed spring around our village of Krupnik, and a walk on Mount Vitosha overlooking Sofia.

In May, we also took a quick trip to Rome.

And in June, on our way to and from a Bahá’í summer school in Croatia, we stopped in Belgrade. These are some pictures taken in an old part of town and the center of town, including the office of “GOD S.A.”.

In July and August, we were again in California, this time with Emi’s cousin Mitko and his two girls, and then with Greg’s brother Arthur.

Back in Bulgaria later in August, we celebrated Emi’s 50th birthday in Blagoevgrad and went for walks in the mountains near there with friends. Then, in September, it was time for school to begin again, with all three kids enrolled in the small school in Sofia where Joyce was studying ballet.

In December, the twins celebrated their birthday with their new classmates in their new school and at home with friends, and Joyce posed for ballerina photos. At the end of December we were back in our home in Krupnik.
