For the first months of 2004 we were still staying with Greg’s mother Joyce in Carmel, California. In January, Greg’s daughter Carrie and her twins Cami and Mica, and Greg’s son Ian with his fiancée Stephanie, came to visit.

In February, Greg’s twin grandchildren Cami and Mica came to visit.

The girls started ballet and tap-dance lessons in Carmel in March. We had a visit from our Malagasy friend Fanja who is studying at Cornell, and celebrated Mina’s fourth birthday on 21 March at Grandma Joyce’s, joined by Greg’s father Arthur and his wife Betsy. Greg’s brother Roger came for a quick visit when we had to leave the house for termite treatment.

In April we were still in Grandma Joyce’s house and enjoying the parks in the area.

In June to September we were back in Bulgaria, except for a trip to attend the wedding of Greg’s son Ian and Stephanie in South Dakota in August, stopping in Paris on the way back.

In September we returned to Grandma Joyce’s in California, with a trip to attend the wedding of Greg’s nephew Alex (Arthur’s son) and Mahalia in Quebec, and spent the rest of the year in California.
